The Tucson Pima Arts Council (www.tucsonpimaartscouncil.org) is putting out a call to artists in Pima County who reside OUTSIDE of Tucson city limits for the upcoming Rural Arts Showcase.
The exhibit will be displayed October 25th-November 25th 2007. This is an opportunity for emerging and established artists from Pima County to introduce their works with Tucson residents within a municipal city gallery.

TPAC Rural Art Showcase
Joel D. Valdez Main Library, Downtown Tucson
Exhibition: October 25 - November 25, 2007
The Tucson Pima Arts Council is accepting submissions of 2-D artworks for the 2007 Rural Art Showcase, to be held October 25 through November 25, 2007 in the First Floor Gallery of the Joel D. Valdez Main Library, in the heart of Downtown Tucson.
This annual art exhibition is an opportunity for emerging and established professional artists living outside of the city limits to expose your artwork in a municipal gallery setting, which showcases juried art shows throughout the year.
Reception: The Rural Art Showcase will include an afternoon reception on Sunday, October 28, from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Artists, along with rural art institutions and non-profit rural arts organizations in Pima County, will be invited to present slide shows, lectures, and demonstrations during the afternoon reception.
If you are an artist living outside of the Tucson City limits, within the geographic borders of Pima County, you are invited to participate in the 2007 Rural Art Showcase.
Submission criteria:
• A current artists statement or artist biography
• A CD containing 5 digital images of your 2-D artwork for exhibition
• A description of each piece to include: title, medium, dimensions, and price
• A self addressed envelope
This is a non-juried exhibition. The Tucson Pima Arts Council Community Arts Department will select 1-2 works from each submission as exhibition space permits.
Submission packets will not be accepted incomplete. All artwork must be free hanging and will be installed and insured by TPAC.
