America's Red Rock Wilderness Act has been recently reintroduced in both the house and the senate. This bill would permanently protect over 9 million acres of Utah's public lands including red rock canyonlands, the Mojave Desert, and Basin and Range wilderness areas. These lands, which are owned by all Americans, are currently being threatened by oil and gas exploration, off-road vehicle use, and other destructive use. This bill would preserve these amazing, pristine, roadless, wild areas for future generations and help preserve a vast array of wildlife such as the desert tortoise, Gila monster, and bald eagle.
