I remember reading a scrap of literature by Edward Abbey about some yahoo who was happily killed when he decided to blast a cactus with his shotgun and it fell on him. Ring any bells I have tried to google the excerpt. Any help in finding it would be welcome,

Wed, November 22, 2006 - 7:31 AMIt was in 1983 out side of Phenoix. There was another in Tucson in the 60's, my dad was a deputy sheriff and had gruesome photos of the scene, two men (drunk) tried to cut down a big one didn't work out well for one of them. -
